Two houses in Baltimore sit unsold in just one block. How will the market change in December? Photo provided by matt Winter
Real Estate sales went up in Baltimore in November, but for sale signs still seem to stay in front of houses for months. According to Sharon Bloom, an agent with Baltimore Reality, the average time a house stays on the market is six months.
Six months is a long time to have a house on the market, which means that sellers have to go above and beyond, for a long period of time to make sure their house will sell.
Alyssia Essig (A-lys-ia, S-igg), a Real Estate agent with Prudential Carruthers Real Estate in Baltimore, believes how you present your house will go a long way in the selling process.

“Make sure that it looks perfect. Think about it, when you go to a new home it’s done perfectly, it’s staged, they spend thousands of dollars staging their homes.”

Even if you don’t have thousands of dollars to spend to make your house look amazing; keeping it organized, clean and smell-free will always give you a shot to sell your home.
